I was an author in the publication Henry Moore: Vorm en Materiaal. I wrote the artist biography for the exhibition’s catalogue where I chose to focus on the artist as a person. In moving beyond a chronological list of accomplishments – already well-documented in pre-existing art historical summaries of Henry Moore’s life – I attempted to capture and relay to readers a better understanding of who Henry Moore was, why what he did was so important for modern sculpture, and how we can better appreciate his work. I also assisted the graphic designer in compiling photographic material and texts.
