About
Emanuela Varga is a museum professional, educator, researcher and museologist with expertise in exhibition design and interpretive planning. This background allows her a critical understanding of how best to communicate an object’s narrative within spatial and visual designs, inclusive of overarching interpretive and experiential goals. Experienced in large-scale collection and exhibition management projects, Varga is ambitious about fostering engaging and understandable interactions with objects in museums. While her curatorial work has been focused in exhibition and collection departments, she has also created educational tours, programs and workshops. Before moving to the Netherlands, she gained international experience working at museums and galleries in the United States and Canada, as well as in the commercial sector curating for international art fairs. In all her work, she is driven by the desire to facilitate meaningful connections with objects. Outside of the museum, she has her own artistic practice and enjoys teaching recreational art classes.
