About

Emanuela Varga is an independent curator, educator, researcher and museologist with expertise in museum exhibition design and interpretive planning. This background allows her a critical understanding of how best to communicate an object’s historical narrative within exhibition designing and interpretive planning processes. Experienced in large-scale collection and exhibition management projects, Varga is ambitious about fostering engaging and understandable interactions with objects in museums. While her curatorial work has been focused in exhibition and collection departments, she has also worked in education creating tours, guides and workshops. Before moving to the Netherlands, she gained international experience working at museums and galleries in the United States and Canada, as well as in the commercial sector curating for commercial art fairs. In all her work, she is driven by the desire to facilitate meaningful connections with art and the stories artworks have to tell. Outside of the museum, she has lead fine art workshops and exhibited her own work at commercial fairs.Â
